Yes, we provide NHS eye tests. This means that the NHS pay for the exam for everyone in Scotland.

Yes, schools and nurseries sometimes do checks but i would always recommend any child from 4 onwards get an eye test. If mum or dad wear glasses it’s even more important. Many issues can by helped if caught early, so the sooner the better.
If you or your partner receive any of the following, Employment support allowance, Universal credit, Pension Credit Guaranteed, Income Support, Tax Credit Exemption or if you Under 16 you will be entitled to help.

Yes, you should still have your eye tested every two years because as well as testing your vision, we also look for various health issues which can be diagnosed before they will cause a problem. Health issues such as: high blood pressure, changes in cholesterol levels, diabetic changes, cataract changes and many other things.
